In 1977 came an idea to present the products from workshops of the children from the Jedlicka Institute. The Jedlicka Institute offered the retail space on the school grounds, which the city of Prague rented for the symbolic sum and the Jedlicka Foundation has built a cozy little store.
The operation later became the responsibility of the Civic Association Boruvka and has been for the past ten years. While generously supported by the Jedlicka Foundation, the store offers products not only by children of the JUS, but also from the protected workshops from the whole Czech Republic.
We have started a co - operation with artists with mental or physical disabilities. We have also created a mini gallery where you can get acquainted with and where you can purchase their work. The store also sells ceramics and wooden and textile artifacts.
At the same time, we offer interesting gifts to businesses and companies for their employees and by opening a new e-shop, we are trying to generate more funds to support our other projects and to maintain our Boruvka store as a place of exposure and sales of products for protected workshops from the whole Czech Republic.
Each and every one of you who purchases even the smallest item in our Boruvka store is giving us support and for that you have our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
